Wecome back
Wow!!. How quickly did that first half term go? Well here we are, back at school for seven more weeks of fun and mayhem.
This term is a particularly exciting one because we will be looking at the Roman Invasion of Britain. As part of this topic, we went on a school trip to Merton Park in York. When we were there we got the chance to dress up as Roman soldiers and live their type of life in the Brigantium fort. We did all sorts of really fab activities: guard duty, oil lamp making, signing up for the army using Roman script and everybody's favourite; weapons training. Now we are back at school we are going to produce some fantastic work on this topic. Take a look at some of our photographs below.
There are lots of other things going on this term as well. On Monday 22nd November, class 6 are going to the Magna Centre in Rotherham to take part in Crucial Crew activities. This is run by South Yorkshire Police and it teaches us all about being safe both on the roads and other areas that we might find ourselves exposed to. Bullying, anti-social behaviour and what to do if your house goes on fire are just some of the activities.
Of course Christmas is just around the corner and we are making a really exciting calendar using our ICT skills with Mrs Newton.
